Smoked Monte Carlo Cocktail Recipe
The Smoked Monte Carlo is one of the most frequently ordered drinks at The Katharine Brasserie & Bar, due to its unique presentation, but the smoke goes far beyond just a dramatic effect. The flavors that emerge from smoking the Applewood chips and trapping the smoke with the bourbon makes for a cocktail only fitting for the fall, both in appearance and flavor.
2 oz Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon
¾ oz Domaine Benedictine
3 dashes of Angostura
Stir ingredients together in mixing glass. Pour in small wine carafe. Use smoke machine to burn Bourbon-soaked Applewood chips. Trap smoke in carafe. Pour over rocks class with large ice cube. Garnish with orange peel.
