Featured Cocktail Bar: Sycamore Den

We are excited to profile Sycamore Den - San Diego’s award winning cocktail lounge. They just came out with a new menu that embodies the cocktail trends of 2017. The talented bar team worked together to introduce new libations featuring seasonal flavors that the palate searches for this time of year: cranberry, apple, allspice and brandy, to name a few.

Flamingo Fling

Ingredients:
1 part tequila
2 parts cranberry juice
1 part pear Brandy
1 part elderflower liquor
1/2 part sugar
1/2 lime juice

Directions:
Shake all ingredients together in cocktail shaker. Top with soda. Pour into a Collins glass, garnish with a green crazy straw, a peach ring and a lime wedge garnish.

Nice Mangoes

Ingredients:
2.5 rum blend (light rum, Jamaican rum, Martinique Agricole Rum)
1 mango Perfect Purée
.75 lime
.5 house falernum
1 dash absinthe

Directions:
Shake all ingredients into a cocktail shaker except absinthe, add crushed ice to tiki mug and then pour in cocktail. Add a dash of angostura bitters and dash of absinthe on top. Garnish with lime wedge, mint sprig garnish.

The Double Pump

Ingredients:
.75 oz Zaya rum
.75 oz Bourbon
.75 oz Starbucks pumpkin spice syrup
.25 oz heavy cream
3.0 oz hot water
Grated cinnamon
Mini marshmallows

Directions:
Add rum, bourbon, syrup and cream into Irish coffee mug. Add 3oz hot water and quickly stir with a cocktail spoon to mix ingredients. Garnish with 4-5 mini marshmallows and grated cinnamon on top. Consume while knees tucked into chest on couch while wearing an oversized sweatshirt.
