2017 Cocktail Trend Prediction: classic
As we kick off 2017, we want to share what the bartender community sees as current trends.
Recent cocktail trends have focused on the use of numerous unique ingredients and complicated infusions. An increasing number of bars and restaurants have created popular signature cocktails and the role of the mixologist has reached celebrity-like status.
Today, consumers expect nothing other than a great cocktail menu and a competent bar team at their favorite watering hole. While great signature cocktails are all the rage, consumers and bars are rediscovering many of the most gorgeous vintage drinks. Flavors can be greatly influence by the type and quality of the ingredients used to create the cocktail. With the right ingredients, a Negroni isn't just a Negroni anymore.
The Negroni is a favorite cocktail of Cirka Distilleries founder and master distiller Paul Cirka. Check out the recipe below:
1 oz Cirka dry gin
1 oz vermouth
1 oz Campari
Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass. Mix with a bar spoon for 10 seconds. Filter into an old fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange zest.
