Better yet, nothing is more fun than a Bloody Mary Bar! NYC celebrity caterer and event planner Andrea Correale of Elegant Affairs has tips on how you can treat mom to an elegant Bloody Mary Bar!
Andrea says you should start with three different bases of tomato juice. Try a traditional bloody mary mix, the classic V8 and a flavor infused bloody mary mix.
Kick it up with a variety of liquor. Use flavor infused vodkas, like chili infused, or lime infused, and entice your guests by serving bourbon or gin for them to mix in!
And of course, you’ll need an elaborate display of toppings. Include spices like chili and cracked pepper, fresh lemons and limes, celery stalks, pickled carrots and zucchini sticks, hot sauces ranging from mild to hot, pickles and olives.
To really impress your guests, serve some cheese and olives to accompany their bloody mary concoctions!
This delicious Sweet and Spicy Bloody Mary combines your garden vegetables with homemade lavender infused vodka!
Create your own Infused lavender vodka by marinating stems of lavender in vodka for 24 hours.
3.0 oz. lavender infused vodka
6.0 oz. spicy tomato juice
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. fresh lime juice
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1-2 dashes Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. grated horseradish
1-2 gherkin pickles
1-2 Greek pepperoncini peppers
1 celery stalk
Spring of fresh mint
1 Lime Wedge
Sprigs of lavender for garnish
Combine the ingredients in a Collins glass and stir over fresh ice.
