Three Strands of Rope Cocktail Recipe
It's World Whiskey Day! This day is meant to not only celebrate whisky, but bring about appreciation of this fine spirit. In that vein, we bring to you Kikori, a Japanese whiskey made from rice. It is a a departure from traditional Japanese whiskies which are made in the Scotch style.
The name Kikori refers to the cautionary folk story of Visu, the Woodsman who, after losing everything while forsaking friends and family, is urged by a spiritual leader to rediscover balance. The philosophy to “find your balance” is a virtue to Kikori, every sip, cocktail, and the concoction is based on the idea of creating a personal balance to create a content and fulfilling life.
Please enjoy a version made with this special spirit called Three Strands of Rope:
2.0 oz. Kikori
1.0 oz. Dolin Blanc vermouth
4 dashes of Scrappy's orange bitters
1 lemon twist
Add all ingredients to a glass; add ice, stir and strain in a cocktail coupe and garnish with a lemon twist.
