The Chesapeake Chill Cocktail Recipe
One of the coolest parts about a local distillery is seeing how the spirits made there inspire what the bartenders and mixologist in their community create.
When Watershed Distillery asked local bar chef, Derek Reno, to do something killer with their vodka for a Spring cocktail, the result was The Chesapeake Chill.
As business owners, they know that their community doesn’t get better by chance. It comes from the support of the people around them who take chances to make change for themselves and their communities.
1.5 oz. Vodka from Watershed Distillery
2-3 dashes Bitter Truth aromatic bitters
0.5 oz. Cherry Heering
2.0 oz. fresh Pineapple juice
0.5 oz. ROOT23 Vanilla Ginger Syrup
Blackberry jam for garnish
Mint for garnish
Combine all ingredients (except the jam and mint) in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Pour over crushed ice. Top with blackberry jam and add a sprig of mint for garnish.
