Seneca Sunset Cocktail Recipe
This cocktail recipe comes from Summer on Ice, a summer festival to celebrate ice-style wines along with other craft beverages from the Finger Lakes Region of New York. The event is a collaboration between Wagner Vineyards, Finger Lakes Distilling, and Standing Stone Vineyards—all located on the east side of Seneca Lake in Finger Lakes Wine Country, NY.
At Summer on Ice you can experience cocktail demonstrations, chef demonstrations, walk-around food pairings, and live music. The event is held at Standing Stone Vineyards and all proceeds benefit Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty, a collaborative regional food network that helps educate consumers about locally-produced foods and beverages while fostering relationships within the marketplace.
Here’s a unique Finger Lakes twist on a Gin & Tonic!
1.0 oz McKenzie Distiller’s Reserve Gin, Finger Lakes Distilling
0.75 oz Gran Classico
0.75 oz Wagner Vineyards Riesling Ice
Splash of soda
Combine gin, Gran Classico, and Riesling Ice with ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Stir gently and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Add a splash of soda if desired. Garnish with a twist of orange peel and enjoy!
