Painted House Margarita Cocktail Recipe
Greg Fournier, beverage director at the Harbor View Hotel, has been working behind the bar for the past 15 years. For 10 of those years he’s been making The Painted House Margarita in a variety of versions.
The cocktail was inspired by and named after the colorfully painted homes that bring the Vineyard to life. His suggestion when making this drink is to get the best sour mix you can get your hands on, or better yet, make it yourself.
A collector of classic cocktail books, Greg is fascinated with classic, elegant, and old-school cocktail recipes, which can be seen in his latest cocktail menu. Complex flavors and well-crafted drinks are what drew Greg into bartending. In his travels (he’s shaken cocktails from Los Angeles to Martha’s Vineyard and back!). He enjoys discovering new flavor combinations and ways to enhance or modify spirits, gaining inspiration from bartenders all over the USA.
